Medicine Lodge

Sahm and Randy Wolfman had Makayla and Jalil help them build this Native American sweat lodge. It’s just like the ones where Randy’s Abenaki ancestors used to, I guess, pray for people to be healed or travel into the spirit world—if that’s even possible.

I don’t know what to think about the unusual things that are happening here at Lost Lake. Dhani hearing animal spirits talking to him. Sahm seeing portents and signs in the young eagle that can’t or won’t fly and in the rabbit attacked and then dropped by a hawk.

I’ve heard from Dhani that Sahm has some kind of premonition about dark events that are supposed to happen soon. Seems a little dramatic to me, but maybe. Okay, if I’m honest, something big does seem to be going on and I can’t put my finger on it. When I’m sketching and quiet and still, I can feel it in the air. 

I think I’d like to try going into the medicine lodge sometime, just to see what it’s like. But I don’t want anything supernatural or weird to happen. My life is weird enough, thank you.
