WHY THESE ARTICLES ARE IMPORTANT:
There are so many things young people and us parents can do together to help protect the earth and all living creatures. What we need are great, helpful ideas. You will find a lot of great ideas you can do with your children, grandchildren, and classrooms from right where you are!

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
When training young people in what’s important, adult participation models the desired behavior. If you want the young people in your care and under your influence to be good citizens of the planet, get involved with them. Show your enthusiastic support. And make it fun.

Adults need a lot of great ideas to choose from to find the ones that will work for you and your young ones. To that end—we’re offering you dozens.

Among the many, many ideas offered in the articles below, some will take a longer commitment, and others can be done in just a few minutes.  

As you browse, consider choosing projects that are realistic for you to do together. Be careful not to overreach or over-plan; you want to be able to finish a project and not let it run aground.  Also, choose projects that have measurable results. There’s nothing like seeing the fruit of your efforts to reward the investment of time, energy, and enthusiasm.
