Soil Protection.

Restoring the ground of life.

WHY THESE ARTICLES ARE IMPORTANT:
More than 50% of our earth’s soil is degraded to the point that it cannot agriculturally sustain life on our planet. The good news is, important movements are afoot and you can be part of them.

Revitalizing our soil is as urgent a need to act upon as restoring our forests and cleaning our water and air. Soil is, of course, the foundation of so much of our food supply, and erosion, drought that leaches nutrients, and toxification by widespread use of chemicals are wreaking havoc.

We can and are turning things around. And the articles below will tell you who’s achieving success and how they’re doing it.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
Great, wide-spread efforts are under way to protect our soils, and even though such efforts seem beyond the power of everyday people to take part in, they aren’t. Every single one of us can make a difference. Check out what you can do to be a part of these vital projects.

COMMENT:
We have a lot of work to do to ensure that our soil remains intact and safe for cultivation and for wildlife health. Taking even a small role in soil protection most definitely benefits us all.

And in case you want to work very locally, just out your back door, the first two articles will tell you how to protect and enrich the soil right in your own garden.

The third link is rich with great information about what’s happening globally to protect and restore our soil and also how you can be part of this vital movement.
