Meet Eric.
Eric Trovert
Eric and Steve Tanner started to butt heads as soon as we arrived here. We all witnessed it right away. Eric is all about us learning and growing, and Tanner is all about us living by rigid rules and competing with each other.
Didn’t anyone see this supposed “team” of instructors and counselors isn’t exactly together in the way they deal with us?
Eric doesn’t always seem to be on the same page with his wife, Bay, either. They don’t disagree or argue in front of us, but there’s always a little tension between them.
Eric seems to be a guy who went to school and got a degree in psychology, and I know he has a lot of experience with kids who have been in trouble. And also, he’s just a good guy.
I guess the best I can say is, he really means well. And he’s not a burnout (yet!) like the counselors and psychologists that were pushed on me back when I was in foster care and juvenile detention. Maybe that’s unfair, though. I know they were way overloaded with kids to work with.
