Meet Rocco.

Rocco

I liked Rocco the first day we all got together at that park in the country. He was helping other kids get over the climbing wall on the obstacle course. He didn’t have to do that. He could have beat us all to the finish line, but he didn’t care about being first.

It’s true he has a hot body and some of the other girls are all about him. Like Makayla. Too bad it’s obvious he really likes Imani, even though she says she has no interest. Dugan hates him because he's all about Imani, too. Drama, drama, drama. I hate it.

Rocco has a really tender heart for the animals in the clinic. You can see it in his face when one of them is sick or dies. He’s goes insane over bears, and Jo has to keep telling him not to get attached because they have to be returned to the wilderness.

I hope this program helps him and he doesn't go back to running scams when our time here is over. Seems like he could totally do that. I mean, he came in with gang tattoos on his chest and hand. Five stars. Which someone said means he's in La Stidda, a gang from Sicily. Rocco denies it. But why would you have a gang tattoo if you weren't in it? And why would a guy his age already be running scams?

I try to make sense of Rocco and who he really is, but some things about him just don't make sense. The pieces don't fit. I get the feeling he has to decide who he really is.
